MISSION STATEMENT

Lisa Ecklund-Flores, PhD, MT-BC, offers music therapy training using the Dalcroze Method to all those interested in expanding their clinical knowledge and skills.  Founded on the belief in the therapeutic power of the arts, music therapy using the Dalcroze Method focuses on whole body movement to integrate ear, mind and body in response to music and through the act of music-making. Exploration of this approach increases self-awareness, biopsychosocial coordination and sensitivity in both the client and the practitioner. Music therapy using the Dalcroze Method is effective with all ages and levels of ability.  The physical experience of making and responding to the elements of music is good for the individual and the community and is therefore an indispensable skill for music therapists engaged in clinical practice, as well as creative arts therapists and music educators.
