CMTE OPPORTUNITES

This CMTE opportunity “Dalcroze Training for Music Therapists” gives participants an introduction to the principles and techniques of the Dalcroze Method with special emphasis on applications for music therapists. Through the physical experience of Dalcroze Eurhythmics participants will learn exciting new activities to use in their classes and sessions, and also learn about themselves.

Participants should expect to be engaged in creative movement activities.  Loose fitting, comfortable clothing is suggested and participants should be prepared to work in bare feet during eurhythmics activities. Activities will involve listening to music prompts and responding with full body movement.  Vocalization is also incorporated in these activities. No prior experience is required; basic music skills are a plus.

Dalcroze Training for Music Therapists is approved by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) for 4 CMTE credits per session. Dr. Lisa Ecklund-Flores, #P-243, maintains responsibility for program quality and adherence to CBMT policies and criteria.
